1. HIPAA COMPLIANCE

As a licensed counseling provider, we comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to safeguard your health information. All collected data, including inquiries and appointment requests submitted through our HIPAA-secure Google Forms, is encrypted and transmitted securely to prevent unauthorized access. We store this data in encrypted formats and only use it to provide requested services, ensuring compliance with privacy and security rules under HIPAA.

We collect personal information voluntarily given to us when you inquire about our services, request an appointment, or contact us directly. Information collected includes:

No personal information collected is used for marketing or non-counseling-related events.

In Short: We retain your information according to HIPAA and Oregon state regulations.

Per Oregon law, we retain health records for seven years after your last service date, or until a minor turns 21, whichever is later. We securely delete or anonymize information that is no longer necessary for these purposes. If personal information cannot be immediately deleted (e.g., in backup archives), it will be isolated and securely stored until deletion is possible.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We use HIPAA-compliant tools, encryption, and restricted access to protect your data. Despite these measures, no electronic transmission is fully secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend accessing our website in a secure environment.

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to individuals under 18 without parental consent.
